The La Crosse Center expansion & renovation is my most challenging project to date. Managing to keep the project scope, budget and schedule in line while also assisting the client when project related political items come up has been a challenge, but even more rewarding to see the work progress and the drive to continue to stay on budget and schedule.
A continued push to use technology in a smarter way. Reduce the data loss between owner to architect, architect to builder, then builder back to architect and owner. Generative design is already making its mark on the A/E industry.
"It's ours, let's treat it that way" from Chad Surprenant. I think that mentality goes beyond just taking care of our office space (not leaving dirty dishes), but also applies to projects and clients. They're our client, let's treat them that way.
The opportunity to create, watch it being built and see the finished product. Seeing owner’s goals come to life beyond what they had expected is exciting and rewarding.
My family, especially my wife. Working in the A/E industry has a lot of ups and downs. She keeps me grounded and provides continuous support.
I'd really like to spend time in Europe and experience the historical architecture in person.
