With a passion for environmental engineering and sustainable design practices, Graduate Engineer, Lisha Wu, is excited to share her specialized knowledge with the water/wastewater group at ISG. Learn more about Lisha’s favorite part of working at ISG and her thrilling yet terrifying bucket list adventure!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

For me, the most rewarding part of being a water/wastewater engineer is to see the systems and processes you helped design be put in place. Field trips to different sites are always the best thing.

What is your favorite part about working at ISG?

My favorite part is the whole ISG team. I always feel supported. There is no stupid question. You wonder, you ask. And I know whoever I go to, they will help me the best they can. No doubt.

What do you see changing or growing in Water/Wastewater?

As the water/wastewater industry keeps growing steadily in all aspects, we should research and incorporate the sustainability component into our design as a norm. It is not just a buzzword. As water/wastewater engineers, we need to make people aware of the importance of sustainability and give the word context and meaning when designing different water/wastewater treatment systems. It is all about preserving our water and environment. Let’s go green!

What is on your bucket list?

Definitely skydiving! It looks fun, but I am terribly scared of it too. I will do it for sure sometime in the future!
