“We’re not in Kansas anymore.” What born-and-raised Kansan and avid board game player joined ISG to pursue her passion of working with people? Keep reading to learn more about how Christina Midthun, Employee Experience Manager, is adjusting to life at ISG, and how she still passes through Kansas during the occasional game of Ticket to Ride.

What brought you to ISG?

My family and I relocated from Kansas to Minnesota in August of 2019. I was looking for an opportunity to continue working in the Human Resources field and found a great fit with ISG! I am enjoying life in Minnesota and I am continually shocked with how welcoming and nice everyone here is.

What is your favorite part about working in this industry and at ISG?

I always knew that I was a people person and wanted to work with people, so I decided on a degree in Human Resources Management. My favorite part of ISG is the #ISGAllIn mentality. The daily hustle of this firm allows me to push myself and evolve as a professional. I also love how everyone on our team is so friendly.

What do you like most about working in this industry?

I love being a resource for employee owners to come to for any questions HR related or even just to talk. This role gives me the opportunity to work with individuals on a daily basis and help them navigate important benefit, system, and policy related scenarios, as well as celebrate professional and personal life milestones.

How do you spend your free time? What are some of your hobbies and activities?

Spending time with my husband and two kids, Emma (8) and Logan (6). I enjoy traveling (before COVID), playing Pickleball, and bicycling. I am also a frequent board game player that loves a strategic game of Sequence or Ticket to Ride (whenever we can find time for a 3-hour long game.)
