ISG’s Pipeline Office Administrator out of the Des Moines office, Tiffany Kruizenga, has been with ISG for over six years and practices daily, the dynamic ability to “find something positive in every situation.” Read on to learn more about her position and what brought her to ISG!

What brought you to ISG?

My husband Cole and I were looking for our next pipeline inspection job, and during my search I saw an article stating that ISG would be conducting the County Inspection for the Dakota Access Pipeline project. I sent ISG my resume with minimal expectations of hearing back because ISG wasn’t advertising for a pipeline inspection position at the time. Long story short—ISG hired both my husband and I for the project, and six years later, we’re still here! Sometimes things are just meant to be, and I’m thankful to be part of the ISG team.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is that I get to wear many different hats. I love that I can help manage the pipeline inspection team throughout the entirety of a project and help organize the Des Moines office to be more efficient—you never know what you’ll see me working on!

What is something about working as a Pipeline Office Administrator that would surprise others?

I think many people would be surprised to know that ISG created a separate company for pipeline county inspection projects called ISG Field Services. Additionally, I have many different jobs as a Pipeline Office Administrator. I help facilitate Human Resources documents, timesheets, and invoices. I also manage communication with county officials and inspectors, and all project documentation required.

What are some of your hobbies and favorite activities?

During winter you can find me playing in the snow with my kids, watching Yellowstone, and baking. In the spring, I’ll be shed hunting (finding deer antlers) and junk jaunting in search of antiques for our house. Summer means lots of time outdoors, picnics with the kids, gardening, swimming, and golfing. Finally, in the fall, you’ll see me shooting my bow, sitting by a fire, and enjoying warm days and cool nights.

Do you have a morning routine? If so, how does it help you prepare for the day?

My morning routine is usually hectic with a one and two-year old. I get the kids and myself ready, take them to daycare (my husband is a big help too), and then I start the 1 hour and 15-minute commute to Des Moines. The commute gives me plenty of time to plan out and prioritize what I would like to accomplish during the day.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

Find something positive in every situation.
