What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I love the opportunity to help others and our clients.
What is one piece of work-related advice you would give?
If you have a problem, attempt to create a solution. I often think of this quote by Winston Churchill, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.”
What’s usually playing in your headphones at work?
Typically, a meeting, but if it is not that, it would be a quality podcast, sermon, or some heavy metal to get through the day.
What do you see changing or growing in telecommunications?
As technology continues to advance, so does the telecommunications industry. Approximately 19 million Americans or 6% of the population still lack access to fixed broadband service at threshold speeds. In rural areas, nearly 25% of the population, 14.5 million people, lack access to this service. This means there is still a lot of design and permitting work to come!
What kind of project would you love to work on in the future?
I would love to work on Starlink with Elon Musk or help our Sports and Recreation business unit develop a mountain bike trail system.
How do you spend your free time?
I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and family, as well as hiking, working out, mountain biking, motorcycle racing, creating videography, and anything else that brings an adrenaline rush.
What are some fun facts about you?
1. My love language is food.
2. I almost died when a steel church bell fell from 50 feet above me and landed on the ground 5 feet away from me.
3. I’ve had two traumatic brain injuries.
4. I met my wife while I was fighting cancer.
